Artist statement

Mariana Juárez (1984, Morelia Michoacán ) better know as MJ, Muralist and Painter.

MJ’s work takes us to a world of her own creation, filled with fanciful botanical imagery. Animals, insects, and garden scenes unfold before us, focusing our attention as if we held a magnifying glass to the natural world

.

Using clean lines and a minimalist style, MJ’s worlds resemble oversized illustrations. Her love of vintage botanical prints inspire her to open our eyes to a world of unimaginable beauty.

 

Signature features include strong lines, solid bright colors, floral and fauna and an inventive use of positive and negative space.
